QD's wedding exhibition is the premier event in Scotland for those planning their big day and with sophisticated new branding was looking to broaden the show's appeal as much as possible. We used a clean white design and specially commissioned video to create a sense of quality and immerse website visitors in the world class event experience that QD have so successfully created.

The Scottish Caravan, Motorhome and Holiday Home Show

QD's caravan show is a large event with over 200 companies exhibiting a wide range of products from across the industry. Key to the website's success was representing that brand presence as well as the sense of freedom, independence, and adventure that drives this sector. As you land on QD's website we sell that experience through large, high-resolution professional photography of beautiful Scottish landscapes, deep and visual menus to help visitors explore the site, as well as a logo bar that shows the range of brands exhibiting. For this mobile market, a fully responsive tablet and mobile friendly website was naturally a key requirement.

ILS was a launch event for QD in 2015 and we were keen to help them reflect the diverse range of products and services available and the rapid pace of technological growth within the sector. With a mixed target of trade retailers and buyers, carers, and consumers, we grouped information by interest group and use a range of imagery to enable visitors to quickly access the pages most relevant to them. The website was been designed in accordance with web accessibiliity initiative (WAI) to ensure that it is easy to navigate through a range of limited ability browsers. The design uses strong contrast, simple navigation and a colour scheme consistent with the industry norms.

IRN-BRU Carnival

The Glasgow Carnival, sponsored by IRN-BRU, has been running for almost a century and attracting 185,000 visitors over three weeks. For many Scots it's a traditional part of their christmas celebrations. The carnival is Europe's largest indoor fun fair we needed to have a website that chimed with the mainly young target audience. For visual appeal we used long-exposure photography with beautiful light trails to reflect the movement of the different rides plus we integrated Facebook posts as an automated stream of #selfies that were flowed onto the website after a simple moderation process.

Resonate Total Gaming

 

Resonate Total Gaming is a launch event for QD, bringing the thrill and excitement of eSports in a live exhibition format to the Scottish market. We worked in partnership with a creative agency to reflect the event branding and vision of an immersive gaming experience as seen through the eye of the player. For the website design we used a dark theme not unlike a game interface and integrated visuals based on customised overclocked hardware, another trend with eSport competitors. Naturally a key feature of this website was to be fully mobile responsive.
